"Hi, my name is Wendy St. George, and this is how to change a new born's diaper. When you change the new born's diaper, it's best to first put the diaper that you're going to change in to underneath the baby. This will catch any leaks that might occur when you take off the soiled diaper. You should pick the baby up with one hand, picking up both feet of the baby, lift up the bottom and put it back down. Then release the soiled diaper making sure to swipe off any mess with the soiled diapers top, and then rinse the baby with a wipe or for the first week they recommend that you use a soft cloth and water, but you can use sensitive diaper wipes too, if you like. Once the baby is wiped clean, then you lift her up and put her down, and take off the soiled diaper and put on a new one. When you first are in the maternity ward in the hospital, the nurses will show you once or twice how to change your babies diaper."
