"Good morning, I'm Anne Lezak, and I'm chairman of the Rutland County Democrats. What do I value in a, or look for in a Presidential candidate? First of all, I would have to vote for a Presidential candidate who has Democratic values. I just can't see otherwise, because those are so near and dear to me. And, who espouses those, and is able to articulate them in a way that people can really relate to. Second of all, I really look for a candidate who I believe is ethical, and who lives his ethics, and doesn't, doesn't compromise. And, that's tough in this day and age. Because to run a huge national campaign, you're being whacked at from all edges, and you know, you're really under pressure to give in. But, I respect Senator Barack Obama. I think he is highly principled, and has stuck to his values for a long time. I also, truly, totally respect his commitment to public service. I have huge respect for someone who devotes their lives to public service and Barack Obama, as has been said so many times with his brains and education, could have gone anywhere. And I have, I think that's a tremendous role model for young people, that he chose to spend years in public service, making lives better for people who didn't have opportunities. That to me is huge. And finally, on a very practical note, we need a candidate who is electable. Who has charisma. Who can appeal to lots and lots of people. And, I really see that in Barack Obama. For example, Dennis Kucinich. I agreed with a lot of his platforms and principles, and ideas, but I didn't think he was electable. Barack Obama, I think, is highly electable, and very excited and thrilled, that he is the Democratic candidate. He represents a lot of what I look for in a candidate. And, I couldn't be happier."
