"How do you choose a person that you vote for, for President? We've heard an awful lot recently about experience. But, I'm a person who thinks that that's an over rated item. I think you have to look about the person. The integrity of the individual. Who they are. Harry Truman is one of those guys, that I think is a very interesting historical character. He didn't have much experience as a habadasher. Everything he'd been involved with had pretty much failed, and he had his one term in Senate. He had won a second, and then he got picked for Vice President, and became President, over night, within months of beginning to serve as a Vice President. The strength of Harry Truman had to do with his character. Who he was. And he made decisions based upon his values, and who he is. I really think that that's what people look at, the subtleties of the individual. And, who do you trust to make those decisions that affect this country? That is the leader of the free world. We have to understand the role that we play in the world, and understand that when we put that power in the President's hand, we are putting our trust in somebody. And, I think that's what people look for. People try to evaluate all that that person brings to that position. That, are they going to make good decisions, and are they going to be a good leader? Are they going to have good people around them, so that they can provide the leadership in the unknown. Looking at what they've done in the past, helps us be able to evaluate what it is. But, I think it's the strength of the character of the individual that I look for in terms of picking a President. And,when I walk in that voting booth, it's the person who I most trust. When I talk about the person I most trust, I want to take a look at that strength of the character. Because there are going to be a broad spectrum of issues, from environment to immigration, to world defense. Protecting ourselves. No one would have forecast September Eleventh. It still is a defining moment for us. And, we have to realize the world in which we now find ourselves. With terrorism, and the way we're recognized around the world. And, I look to figure who I'm going to vote for, for President, based upon that sense of trust. That I'm putting the power of this country in the hands of a single individual. And, it's that strength of character, that I think is the most important thing that we vote for."
