"So you've decided to host a party at your home during the holiday season at Christmastime, and you're wondering what to do for your menu. So I'm Jessica Meiczinger with Simply Divine Events, and I've been planning events for quite some time now, and I'm going to talk to you about some ideas on how to plan your menu for a Christmas dinner. First of all, you want to take into consideration what time you want to have your dinner, and also what guests are attending, if they have any special need...dietary needs or allergies. You want to take all that into consideration. You can do something informal, you can do something formal. For informal options, you can just do some heavy hors d'oeuvres. You can do little stations, you know, and have some lighter fare. You could do a buffet, which is, you know, an option...offer the guests some different options on that. You could do, you know, family style, which is where, you know, a server serves the guests at the table and you kind of just, you know, pick off of different plates and platters. Or if you want to do something a little more formal, you could do a plated course dinner. Start out with, like, an appetizer course and go into your, you know, intermezzo salad, entr?e, and dessert. You know, if you don't want to have a full meal, you can always do a dessert party as well, and offer, you know, some just different, unique desserts, different pies, tortes, and cakes. Maybe do some different Christmas cookies, and offer coffees and cordials and maybe some hot chocolate and hot cider to go along with that. So those are just some ideas on how to plan a menu for your Christmas dinner. Again, I'm Jessica Meiczinger with Simply Divine Events, and have a happy holiday."
