The exchange of gifts and presents placed under a Christmas tree by Santa Claus is certain to bring fond memories for many children in Western cultures, and tales of Rudolph leading eight reindeer on the roof are classics. "So Thanksgiving has passed and you're wondering how to decorate and celebrate Christmas which is just around the corner. Hi I'm Jessica Meiczinger with Simply Divine Events and I'm going to give you some tips and ideas on how to celebrate Christmas. First of all you want to get rid of all your Thanksgiving and fall decor and bring out your more festive holiday decor. Such as your sleighs, you can bring in your pine cones, you can simply just get a bunch of ornaments and you know put those out. You know, you'll probably have Christmas Trees, so you'll want to set up your Christmas Tree. If there is a certain color scheme you're going for, you know, like here we have your reds and golds. Your more traditional colors. You know stick with that throughout the you know, house. You'll get out your Christmas dishes, you know if you're having a party make sure your platters are all in you know your festive colors such as your reds, golds, greens. Plan your menus around what's in season. Have some incense burning. You can buy, if you don't have a real Christmas tree you can buy the pine incense and have that throughout the house so it just gives you, you know creates that aroma of the holiday season. You can also have, roast some chestnuts that will bring in nice aromas. Well, if you don't want to do a traditional Christmas you can always do something a little more modern. You know, get a bunch of cone trees like we have here and kind of set these out around the house. You can also do a feather tree as opposed to a traditional Christmas tree. Also if you want to get really fun and funky you can do a metallic Christmas tree as well. And just you know, the holiday season is a time for gathering of friends and family.
