Pardon me if I seem a a little bit morose. I I made a visit to the landfill a few weeks ago, and I notice that there's still a lot of paper that's goin' into the landfill. You know, you know paper is one of the most easy to recycle materials. In fact, if if a person recycles a stack of newspapers ten feet high, which is about how much most of us get over a year if we subscribe to the newspaper, that's equivalent to one entire tree. The more paper that we recycle the less need there is to have to harvest trees from the forest, so that's something we could do to help the environment is simply recycling paper. The other thing we can do is remember to buy recycled, because then we help the markets that are made from recycled paper. Here's how you do it. When you go out and buy any kind of paper products; say stationery, paper for your computer, or or whatever it is, check on the package and see if it's made from post consumer recycled paper, because if it says that phrase you know that that paper was made from mater, paper materials that were thrown in a recycling bin, reprocessed, and made into new paper, as opposed to paper that's made directly from tree fibers. So, these are just some tips on how you can live a little more gently on the earth.
