"Hello, I'm Bruce Marshall fashion designer and Emmy award nominated costume designer, here to tell you how you might want to dress for a night out at the opera. That's right, the opera. Now you know ladies and gentlemen, things are changing a bit. It used to be that the opera was the chance where you could go full out on either black tie to tuxedo. But now things are changing when you can actually play it down a little bit more. I mean in some cities you even see people going as casual as jeans, but believe me, I think it's always best to dress it up a little bit. And here's an example, you can do it in not necessarily a tux but a two piece suit with an accented vest underneath, and that way that brings you into a formality that's a little bit better than what most people are doing these days. And also, don't forget, when you take that big intermission, it's always nice to be able to remove your jacket and still be able to breathe a little bit. You know, you're going to go get your little cocktail drink, and then you're going to go back for the second half, so you want to be comfortable but you still want to be dressed properly, and this is one way to do it, so we hope you enjoy the show. Now as you know, the most important thing at the opera is the music itself, so you should also be comfortable and if it's a problem with you wearing a tie, you don't have to, you can go tieless. You don't have to have a necktie or a bow tie, it can just be your regular shirt, a nice vest, some nice slacks and you're still good to go at the opera."
