"Hello, welcome to my studio. I'm Lars Erik Robinson. My freelance company is called Lars Arts All Around Artainment. Basically anything that has to do with art, and merged with anything that has to do with anything that has to do with entertainment, because of my caricature experience. What we're going to talk about today is how to become a freelancer and a freelance artist. And basically that's through time. You have to keep promoting yourself, setting up marketing materials. Establishing yourself a logo that recognizable is really important. This is my logo. It's basically my signature, it says, Larser, and then I write Arts. And then underneath I would write All Around Artainment, because that's basically my slogan. The next thing is to come up with the business cards that you want to use. In all my business cards I try to have all my different images on there. It becomes pretty busy but because of all the different things that I do like murals, and entertainment and caricatures, illustrations, it's kind of really important to have. But you could also have it on the back of your card sometimes too. And also this year my wife got me some nice cards for the fifteen year anniversary. Those are good promotional things that you could have on there, over fifteen years in business and it shows my logo and my website. The second thing is to do is to have a portfolio made up of all your different kind of art work that you do. Have it sectioned off, always have fliers handy that you can hand out. Have a resume made up of different companies you worked for, and then a basic portfolio separating all the different kind of work that you've done. This is one of the most important parts, is networking. Create a folder, put all your cards in it, all your clients you had over the years. And nowadays you can input this in to your computer and you can start a program up that way. And I don't know if I mentioned it to you, but nowadays, it was different for me when I graduated, but websites are one of the most important things you gotta get done. If you can't afford it or if it's something that you don't think is necessary, you can always just, there's a lot of programs out there that can help you with that, to web hosting. Alright, thank you so much for joining my studio and I'm Lars Erik Robinson, illustrator."
