"Hi I'm Kerri at Zebra and Berkley and I'm here to tell you the effects of gauging your ears. So the first effects of gauging your ears is that you are probably going to get some negative reaction from your parents but that's o'kay tell them not to worry. Gauging your ears is temporary and they do actually shrink up as long as you don't go too large. Zero gauge is usually the point of no return. So if you keep it under zero gauge the effects are minimal. If you go too big you'll end up with extra skin in your ear area that sometimes hangs down. A lot of our parents actually have those ears and that is a result of them wearing, or our mothers wearing too heavy of earrings. So if you want to match your mother go ahead, go over zero gauge and if you ever get the big loops of skin that hangs down you may need to seek a plastic surgeon in order to return it to normal."
