"Hi, my name is Caroline and I'm here at Encore Gymnastics with Amanda. Today we're going to teach you how to do a heel stretch. Before you do a heel stretch, it's very important that you do a lot of stretching, 'cause this does take a lot of flexibility. Amanda's going to show you how to do a stretch that we do when we stretch our splits. Put your knee out and foot out a little farther. Bend. So she's pushing through here to stretch this back leg. Then she's going to make this leg straight. Put her hands down by the ground, try to get her head close to her knee to stretch the underpart of this leg. This is the leg she's going to be doing the heel stretch with. Then she's going to stay in that position. I'm going to come behind her, and she's going to grab my legs. I'm going to grab her leg, and pull it up to simulate the heel stretch. Come on down, and, she's going to switch to a position like this. And put that leg out to the side. She's going to get her good stretch through here. Very good. When she goes to do the heel stretch, go ahead and stand up, I'm going to stand behind her to help her with her balance. She's going to pull her leg up to posse, grab her heel, and pull it out to the side, using her other arm to balance. That's how to do a heel stretch."
