"Hello, my name's Oscar Moreno with Moreno Custom Home Visions, and today we're going to teach you guys how to replace your fluorescent light ballast. The basic tools you're going to need is a pair of pliers, needle nose pliers. You're going to need your electrical tester to check to see if there's safety to work there, and you're going to need a screw driver. The first thing what we're going to do is remove the fluorescent lights by twisting it about thirty degrees over, and that will actually let the fluorescent tube come out of it's place. After that, you're going to use your needle nose pliers, and you're going to go ahead and find yourself a clip at either side of the fluorescent light fixture. Once you find it, you're going to go ahead and turn that about a hundred and eighty degrees which will loosen the pin, and you can just pull that right out. Once you do that, you're going to remove the casing. Then you're going to expose your ballast. You're going to go ahead, and you're going to find all your leads which are going to be just two blue wires, two red wires, and a simple black and a white. So, not very hard. So, the first thing we're going to determine before we get in there is we're going to check and see if there's power. Once we determine there is no power in the fixture, we're going to go ahead and start cutting the wires off. Once you cut all the wires off, and you can remove the ballast. Taking out the ballast, you can go ahead and grab your new ballast, install it, and pretty much match up the wires all over again. Make sure you peel it off. I'm sorry. Make sure you peel away all the wirings that you're going to need ready to go. Once you have done that, go ahead and get you're, some wire nuts, put those guys in together, then go ahead and tuck in all your wiring back into place. Then go ahead and put the cover back on. Then your fluorescent lights back on, and that's how you replace a fluorescent ballast."
