"Preservation Park in Oakland, was a redevelopment project, that got underway when the freeway was going through, in the late 1970's, and early 80's, so several of the houses that you see here in the park today, were moved from other locations, and then were stored in the Street Scapes, the lanterns, the picket fences, the gardens, were all installed, to really create the 19th century ambiance of a Victorian neighborhood."
