So you've decided to throw a New Year's Eve party, and you're wondering, "What do I do for a menu?" Hi, I'm Jessica Meiczinger with Simply Divine Events, and I'm going to talk about how to plan a menu for a New Year's Eve party. First of all, you're probably not going to have your New Year's Eve party start around dinnertime, so you'll have it start around eight or nine in the evening. And at that point, everybody's eaten dinner, and what I suggest is you could do either deserts and coffees and cordials. If you want something a little more....with a little more substance, you can have different appetizers, you can do stations. You know, just with light fare, like a pasta station, you know, a sushi station, something like that. Or a carving station with like, a nice roast beef and some rolls to make little miniature sandwiches. And then at the stroke of midnight, obviously, you'll have your champagne toast. And then, after midnight, you know, a nice way to send off the guests or close out the evening is to offer a breakfast. You know, just make your traditional eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits, sausage, you know, whatever you want, and offer that to the guests before they leave. Or, you know, you could do deserts at that time as well, something sweet, you know, obviously with a little substance to kind of soak up the alcohol that the guests have been drinking throughout the evening. As far as your bar goes, you want to make sure you have lots of champagne on hand, that's an obvious. You can just keep it simple and just do beer and wine throughout the evening, or you can, you know, make sure you have your well-stocked bar with whiskey, some cordials, vodka, gin, etcetera. Make sure you have some mixers on hand, too, so they can, you know, make some mixed drinks. You can also offer a signature drink, you know, in a festive color, like a bright blue, or red. So, you know, those are just some ideas on how to, you know, how to develop a menu for your New Year's Eve party. And then, that's about it. So, I'm Jessica Meiczinger with Simply Divine Events, and have a happy New Year's Eve party.
