"My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you how to make your own recipe book. First thing I want to look at is the handwritten recipes, you know, the obvious pro to this is that it's very personalized, it's just a really cool touch to actually look at this and sit there and say "wow, this is my handwriting, this is how I did this, this is what I did", now the problem is maybe you can or cannot read it, that's my downside is that my handwriting is very distinct where only I can usually read it, it's much like a doctors. The cool thing is though, about this though, is if you're doing this for a family kind of thing, like an heirloom thing, this is really great. I've got a couple of notebooks worth of recipes written by relatives of mine, great-grandparents and grandmothers and things like that, that are all handwritten, and it's really cool to look at but at the same time, not always so easy to read. Also, sometimes, you'll have vague measurements on there like a dry ingredient, like flour by the ounce, is that by weight or by volume, you don't know so with that being said, while the obvious plus is to doing a handwritten book, such as this one, are they're pretty big but at the same time, the negatives are definitely something to consider. Especially, if you're making this for somebody or making this for posterity sake or even making it to try it with the hopes of selling it, handwritten is not the way to go just because, like I said, unless you have the writing of a typewriter, this really isn't going to be your best bet. I don't know how well you can read this but you can see that my handwriting is pretty terrible and a lot of it is shorthand too, my own personal shorthand, so that's something else to be aware of. So, with that being pointed out, lets move onto some of our other options."
