"The best way to travel from Zurich to Paris is by the European Rail system. These two great cities are full of history and they're really beautiful. The best way to travel between them is by train. It's efficient, affordable and comfortable. It's better off arriving thirty minutes early at the Zurich train station if you're checking your luggage. Of course you can show up a little later if you're carrying your bags on. But please note, that the Europen trains are very very punctual. Have a good train ride. Budget for the trip between Zurich and Paris. Tickets cost anywhere from hundred and twenty dollars to two hundred and twenty dollars for second class travel and between hundred and seventy dollars and three hundred and fifty dollars for first class travel. First class seats are larger and more comfortable and first class travel includes meals and other amenities. Consider traveling through Basal on your way to Paris instead of through Lausanne. Tickets through Basal are much cheaper, though the second leg of the trip is about twice as long. Book a EuroRail France Switzerland pass, as it almost always saves you money and you greater flexibility for travel. A EuroRail France Switzerland pass is typically at two hundred dollars but a child EuroRail France Switzerland pass is about fifty percent cheaper. This pass is for first class travel and gives you access on limited travel on France's national rail line. Look for discounts on the Rail Europe website. If you're under twenty six you can book a EuroRail France Switzerland youth pass which will save you significant money off the standard adult ticket and passes. There are also specials available for seniors, children and groups. Consider a Flexi Ticket which affords you much more flexibility in travel and late adjustments in your travel plans. The Flexi Tickets costs more but are worth it if you are uncertain about your travel times. But now for train travel between Zurich and Paris should take about six hours excluding stop overs in Lausanne or Basal. Stop overs on Rail Europe lines are brief, almost always less than an hour and sometimes only ten minutes."
