"Hi, I'm Robert. Now I'm going to show you how to hook up a laptop to an external monitor. In order to install an external monitor to your laptop, you need a couple of things on your monitor. You need a 15 pin logic cable on your monitor and a power cable. The logic cable goes into the serial connector on your laptop. It's a 15 pin female connection. So plug in the logic cable into that serial connection. Power up your laptop, power up the monitor. Use FN F3, what this switch does is it gives you a selection in which monitor you want to use. You want to use your external monitor or you want to use your laptop monitor and by invoking that over and over again, you can change your selection."
