"Hungarian records claim water once flowed from some 50 fountains in Pec. The Zsolnay fountain which is decorated with eosin glaze and stands in the southern part of Zsolnay Square, is a tribute to that time. It was created in 1912 by Andor Pilch, but was put up much later in 1930. It show features from the treasures of Nashasymiklos, visitors will see water trickle from four bulls head spelts on four sides into the curved basin. The fountain is decorated with the coats of arms of the town and of the Zsolnay factory, and was a gift from Miklos Zsolnay. The inscription on the four sites of the curb reads, "William Zsolnay's Memorial Fountain, be the eternal eyewitness to the thriving of Pec Town, to its inhabitants, prosperity".
