"So you are looking for invitation ideas for your child's pirate party. Well my name is Lori Randall with Simply Divine Events and I'm going to tell you how to make a pirate themed invitation. The first thing that you are going to want to do is either get some nice brown paper that you an get from really any craft store or you can get like scrap booking paper or if you don't even want to buy the paper and you just want to get like a brown paper bag and cut that up you can do that as well. Then what you want to do once you have the paper you are going to want to wrinkle the paper up and kind of crinkle it all up and make it look old. What our ultimate goal is is we are going to make this invitation look like an old treasure map. Then we are going to send it out that way so crinkle it up and make it look really wrinkly and crinkled and then on one side of it what you are going to want to do is put like your little treasure map here. So just take like a nice black sharpie and make your little map, putting your little treasure and then you want to take a red sharpie and make your X, your X marks the spot for your treasure so it looks like an old treasure map. So that is what you are going to do to one side of the invitation and then the other side you can either get printed on your computer or you can just do like, get a nice fine pen, black pen and write the party information on there. What is really important to put on your invitations is of course the date, the time, the location as well as your RSVP information as well and then also let them know when you want to RSVP by, that way you are finding out everyone who is coming to the party. You might want to make it fun and stick with the whole pirate theme and word it like you are doing pirate slang like ahoy there matie, like party is on the horizon. Ben the buccaneer is turning four, come to his party and kind of word it that way. Once you crinkle it all up and you have got your wording and everything on the invitation and you have got your treasure map and it looks like an old treasure, you are going to want to think about getting a lighter and lighting the sides here as I am doing here, go ahead and burn these sides and then just blow it out like that so you are making it look like an old treasure map that was kind of found that way and just go nicely around the sides like this, blow it out and then it will turn into a nice pirate invitation."
