"So congratulations! You decide to make the commitment to get married. My name is Lori Randall with Simply Divine Events. And I'm going to tell you how to throw a perfect pair themed engagement party. The first thing that you're going to want to do, is set your date. And whoever is hosting the party. May it be the bride's parents or any other close member to the bride and groom. First check with the bride and groom. And make sure that date's available for them. And then, the next thing that you want to do, is come up with your guest list. And typically, when you're doing engagement parties. You want to keep it small. You don't want to you know, get so broad. That you're inviting everyone that you'll be inviting to the wedding. Keep it nice and simple and small. Which is family and close friends. And then you'll decide on a location of where you want to have your, your themed engagement party. It can be at someone's home, it can be. Maybe, you're renting out a room at a restaurant or a banquet hall. It can be as casual or elegant. As you like it to be. When you're doing the perfect paired theme party. Kind of, bring in the word pear. Like the fruit pear. You can kind of, put that into your theme. And maybe your center pieces get some pears. And kind of, make that around. So you're kind of, sticking with your theme. Also when you're choosing your menu, you might want to think about finding pairs, as well. Things that got together well. Like, you might do surf and turf. You might do cake and ice cream. Those things pair together well, to kind of, stick with your theme. You might also want to think about doing a signature cocktail. Doing your signature cocktail, you can maybe, think of doing like a pear Martini. You can get, you know, your Martini glasses here. Maybe stick a little pear slice, something in that. To sort of, stick with your theme. You also want to make sure that you have on hand. Is all your basic liquors, as well. You want to have your Rum, your Vodka. You know, your Whiskey. So think about having you know, your full bar, as well. For your party. Champagne is always very important. Whoever is hosting, the party's going to definitely want to toast the bride and groom. And to their engagement and their best of luck to them. So kind of, keep those things in mind too. When you're planning your engagement party. So I hope, that I gave you some ideas. And I wish you the best of luck. Again, my name is Lori Randall with Simply Divine Events. And again, best of luck to you."
