How to Create a Stone Flowerbed Border

"Hi, this is Yolanda from vanveenbulbs.com. We're going to talk about how to create a stone flowerbed border, and we're going to use all different types of stones to create our borders. So you don't have to have fancy bricks or expensive cements or bricks and mortar to create a flowerbed. Rocks make a great border to your garden, and they come in all shapes and sizes. And most garden centers carry rocks right now, and you can even go to your local quarry or there's different types of landscapers that carry rocks in all different shapes and colors. And all you have to do is put some cloth down, some weed barrier cloth, some compost, and then just put rocks around it. That's as easy as it is. So to create a border, I just lay the rocks just in a line all the way around my flowerbed. So you can see a little bit of the cloth right here, and I just cover that bed up and it's wonderful because it's easy to edge around it with the weed whacker, and it's easy to grow everything in these flowerbeds. And it doesn't need to be any random shape or sizes. I like to put extra rocks in the middle of my flowerbeds, too, just for a little more interest because I've found that they're beautiful even in the winter because when my bulbs have died back, the only thing left are a few of the grasses and the shrubs and my rocks and my statues. And they're all beautiful, and they add so much interest in the wintertime."
