"Self-massage techniques. In working on your own arm you don't want to tire out one hand while working on the other, so what I like to do is use my forearm and elbow. This technique involves stripping the muscle belly, sinking into any tender areas, trying to relax both hands, the one working, and the one receiving. With a soft fist or loose hand I'll work on the extensors of my forearm, which often get tired with massage. This is a myofascial technique, so what I do is grasp the skin and the fascia around my hand, and then slowly stretch the fascia."
