How to Paint a Door: Final Coat

"Okay, in this clip, we're going to talk about the door is dry and it's ready for its final coat of painting. This is where you really need to pay attention because the coat that you're going put on here should be your final coat. If you really want to make sure that this is going to last forever, you can always put another coat on it but with the paint that they're making these days, you really don't have to worry about it. Once you prime and seal this door, one coat of paint should be fine. But you want to go back to your sandpaper and you want to sand the door lightly. You want to get out any imperfections again, and you really want to take your time and feel the door because any little bumps or any little ridges or anything like that, will really stand out and not make that door look as good as it possibly can. So go ahead and sand the door again. Sand all your spots, the whole door, and then come back with a dust rag, or a rag, and really wipe this thing down. Make sure you start at the top and get it all wiped down really good and clean that really well, and then you're ready to put that final coat on there and make this door look brand new."
