Video Transcript

"My name is Dr. Endre Sos and I will tell you how to handle a found dog. First of all it's very important that, never approach an aggressively behaving stray dog, or if you feel uncomfortable, just contact the local animal shelter. If you feel comfortable and the dog is friendly, you can approach it and be very cautious because dogs of course, stray dogs of course can transmit diseases. But the main goal should be to find the right owner. So for this just check the collar of the dog if there is any, and if you feel that it's necessary or it's possible that the dog is microchipped for example, take it to the local veterinarian who can check whether the animal is, animal has a transponder or not. On the other hand, just use different ads and contact the local animal shelter because there is a chance that the owner will turn up. If you don't find the owner and you, after a while you want to keep the dog, just also contact the local veterinarian where the dog will get the anti parasite treatment and the necessary vaccinations."
