"Hi, I'm Ken Kashabura a personal trainer and freelance fitness writer. And I'm here to talk about using support groups to lose weight. Do you know on line there's literally thousands of websites and forums put together for people trying to lose weight. At forums we can go in, talk about like minded people who are going through the same problems as you and you can discuss your goals with them. But before you want to get in to the on line, what you need to is you want to go and find friends and family who can help you lose first because they're going to be around you more often. Find an activity that you can do with a group of people. You can go indoor rock climbing or outdoor rock climbing. You can take a martial arts class. You can even play racket sports anything that's going to get a good group of people together. You can have fun doing it and you're going to get fit while doing that activity. O.k., and then once you get in to that activity, you find an activity you really enjoy, your friends really enjoy and you're getting good at it. Then when you go to the gym to lift weights you're not lifting weights just to lift weights anymore. You're lifting weights to get to the top of the mountain. You're lifting weights so your legs will get strong when you're cycling up that hill. You're lifting weights so you can get stronger in your martial arts. And then whenever you're running you're not running just to run anymore. You're running to help you improve with those activities. You do them with other people, you have a support group behind you. Then if you need more you have those on line forums. I'm Ken Kashabura and that's how to use support groups to lose weight."
