Replacing a Power Antenna: Remount Upper Mask

"Hi, my name is Nate MacCallum, on behalf of Expert Village. In the following clips we're going to talk about some of the common failures with your power antennae and how to remove and replace one. In this clip we're going to talk about the proper way to remount and weather seal the upper portion of your new power antennae. You're always going to want to use, if you can, the factory seal. It's designed specifically for your car. After market ones are going to be built to in my opinion a lesser standard of perfection. This is the one that actually came off the vehicle we have here at hand, this is the seal, it's going to slip down here on top just like so. There's no adhesives or additives you need to put there, and what I have is the sleeve nut. The sleeve nut is going to sit right on top just like so and screw down. Screw it down, hand tight. There are several different tools you can use for tightening these up. I'm going to use my needle nose, it doesn't take much of a twist to tighten them down. And there you go, that is the proper way to remount and weather seal the upper portion of your power antennae."
