"In this clip we're going to show you how to troubleshoot a failed modem connection. I'm not employed by or affiliated with any of the websites or products demonstrated today. In order to troubleshoot a failed connection, first go to your network and sharing icon, and check that in fact there is a problem. As you can see, it shows that we are not connected to the Internet. Click on your network and sharing center, and again you can see there is a problem with connection. Double click on the failed connection and Windows will list some of the things you can check to try and restore your connection. You can also click on diagnose and repair and Windows will again list some of the common things to try and fix. If you're still unsuccessful in connecting to the network, you can try resetting your modem and router by unplugging them from the wall and plugging them back in. This will usually restore your connection unless your service is out. And that's how you can troubleshoot a failed modem connection."
