"In this clip we're going to show you how to install a router to use with a DSL Internet connection. I'm not employed by or affiliated with any of the websites or products demonstrated today. Okay, the first thing you want to do is look at the back of all the equipment that you're setting up here and on the left we got a typical type of modem and this would be either DSL kind of modem or cable modem from Comcast or that kind of setup. Then we have a router and yours may look different than this but all the routers on the back are configured the same and then of course the computer itself. So, the first thing we want to do is we want to take the Ethernet cord out from your modem and it'll say Ethernet or sometimes it'll say PC or in some other way indicate that's the port that goes from the modem. Normally, directly into your computer but in this circumstance you want to do a wireless setup. We're going to take the cable and we're going to plug it in to generally the first port as we look at the back on your router and this port will be labeled Ethernet end or modem or something to that effect to let you know that it's the special location to make those two connections. Then most routers will have between one and five connections on the back of them and these are Ethernet ports that can be use with different computers. So, you can hook by Ethernet cable at different computers to each of these out ports. So, we're going to hook are computer from any one of these. It doesn't matter which one you choose to the Ethernet connection on to your computer. At the point we made the basic connection for the basic hard work connection that we need to start. Now, that we have are hardware wired together, what we're going to do is take these start up CD -ROM four year manufacture and put it in the CD-ROM drive. Close the drive and it should automatically start the program which will walk you through the setup process and that's how you install a router with a DSL connection."
