"Hi, I'm Judy Carrier with Jewels by Park Lane and I'm going to talk to you about selling jewelry from catalogs. First of all, make sure your catalog has an attractive cover and one of the things that goes in it is pictures of the jewelry and prices. It helps to have an index card or index page, usually in the back and have your jewelry at least numbered but its even better if it has a name because it makes the piece more identifiable and it personalizes it and people like to think of their pieces as special. Especially if its a gift from someone because it has some sentimental value. The easiest way to sell something from a catalog is to send it out to different people like your friends, your neighbors, tell them to show it to as many people as possible, take their name and phone number and get a deposit on anything they order. When they write down the order, have them call you, make sure your contact information is on the catalog as well. The reason for that is if people can't reach you, they're not going to be able to order and that's the whole purpose of giving them a catalog. Its even better if they can see it in person so if you have a chance to see them after they've contacted you, please show them you'll be able to show more, sell more. But if not, just send them the catalog and plenty of order blanks and make sure you take Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express. I'm Judy Carrier with Jewels by Park Lane."
