"Hi, this is Yolanda from VanveenBulbs.com. And in this segment, we're going to learn all about how to grow cilantro or coriander. Most Americans love Mexican and Thai food. And I always associate cilantro with both. Its a beautiful herb that's wonderful to eat out at restaurants but you can also use it at home and its easy to grow. Now you can buy the cilantro in a container already growing and just plant it, it will have a set of roots and just plant it right into the ground usually late spring to early summer is the best time. Or you can sow the seeds themselves after the last frost and they'll come up and make a gorgeous plant and they've got nice green leaves so you just can pull off the cilantro as its needed. Its just a wonderful, wonderful plant. Once they bloom they have little seeds and they use those seeds for cooking so most of the coriander that you buy is either dried leaves or is the seeds actually dried. And either way they're great to use in cooking and its a wonderful taste and they're easy, you can put them right with salads or I love them with guacamole and or with taco chips. Its just a great, great addition to your garden and a great addition to your kitchen. Cilantro has been around for many, many centuries and has been used by many different civilizations and its easy to grow in the garden as well."
