"Hi my name is Andrea Orta Mashburn and today I'm going to discuss how to clean baby bottle nipples. There are a couple of different ways in order for you to clean your baby bottle nipples. The first way you can actually use your microwave in order to sterilize the nipples. If you use the microwave first of all remember to clean out your microwave properly, make sure that it is clean and sterilized even before you begin cleaning your own nipples. Make sure to purchase nipples that are microwavable and that can be cleaned in a microwave. Also make sure that you are placing them in a container that is microwave safe and that is to steam the nipples in the microwave. Follow the directions carefully and make sure that you microwave the nipples for at least 90 seconds at a time and take them out immediately of the microwave. If you good 30 seconds at a time and then take them out immediately of the microwave. If you are not cleaning them in the microwave you have another option. Your second option is you first need to take the dirty nipple and clean it in the sink with warm water and soap. Make sure that you are scrubbing the nipple properly and that you can actually buy a nipple brush in any store, grocery store or a babies needs store. Take the brush and gently massage the nipple, cleaning it around the inside as well as on the outside. Once you have cleaned it in your kitchen sink you will then take your nipple and place in some type of boiling pot that you place on the stove. Make sure to fill the pot with enough water that you may boil it on the kitchen stove. You will then begin placing your nipples in the boiling water and this is another way to actually sterilize the nipple for you. It is providing enough heat and sterilization for you to be able to use that nipple in the next feeding for your child. So remember be patient, be safe and always put your baby's needs first."
