"Hi, everyone this is Chris Markowski. President of Markowski Investments and the host of The Watchdog on Wall Street Radio show. Here to talk about a touchy subject. How to go about dealing with down markets. Well first I'm going to tell you one of the most important things is shut the computer off. Stop checking your stock quotes every five minutes. Stop tuning into CNBC for hours on end. Down markets come and down markets go. The stress that you have that your going to basically heap upon yourself for no reason, it just doesn't make much sense at all. Just it's not productive by any stretch of the imagination and that's why. You have a financial adviser. That's why you hire a financial adviser to deal with down markets. Because your going to get them and if anybody you talk about or your talk about dealing with a financial adviser. Tells you that they've never dealt with one. Well, then you probably shouldn't be opening an account or dealing with them in the first place. Down markets it's like death and taxes. It's a part of life it's something your going to have to go through. What's going to determine whether or not your a successful investor or not. Is how you go about dealing with the down markets. You know you can go about purchasing a lot of stuff and you can average down and get great dollar cost averaging. When the markets is down and believe it or not and I'll get into this again.
