"Hi everyone, this is Chris Markowski, President of Markowski Investments, and host of The Watchdog, on Wall Street Radio Show, here to talk about the purchase of municipal bonds. Now, this is an interesting topic to get into, because once again, you're getting down to the nitty gritty in regards to financial planning. Tax considerations play a great part in deciding whether or not, you should go about purchasing municipal bonds. What is your tax bracket? How much do you pay in taxes? How much tax free income do you want to go about getting? The purchase of municipal bonds is something, you know, believe it or not, it's something that has to be done in a very careful manner, as well, especially you might be watching a lot of headlines in the news. Various different municipalities that have actually defaulted on their bonds. There are certain ratings in regards to these municipal bonds, as well. Once again, in buying municipal bonds, it's not as simple as, like I said, going online and pointing and clicking. You need to get this, and put this together, in parts in regards to your financial plan, and make sure that these bonds fit. You've got to make sure that the time frame is right for these things. You've got to make sure that the interest rate is right for these things. You've got to make sure you're buying the right state, so there's many different factors involved, with buying municipal bonds. I would once again suggest, consulting a financial adviser. This is Chris Markowski, your watchdog, on Wall Street."
