"You want to apply for that counseling job but you're not quite sure how to address your cover letter. Well, my name is Gloria Campbell with Advantage Training Systems in St. Petersburg, Florida and there are some things that you want to make sure that you include in that cover letter. We always cover the basics, address, todays date, employers information. Also, if there is a job title or if there is a job number you also want to include that in a subject line. The other thing you want to do is talk about why you are writing or applying for this job. In a counseling job there are some things you want to make sure you include. Number one, why you qualify. What have you done before? How do you think you can help the company and how can you be helped by working in this particular position? Include specifics. When we talk about why you qualify. You may talk a little bit about your educational level, you may also include some additional things that you've done. Also, talk about some accomplishments that you've made. This type of a job you really want to touch that person, you want to engage them because as a counselor it's all about getting that person to open up to you and also to be able to except the information and advice that you're giving. My name is Gloria Campbell, I'm president and CEO of Advantage Training Systems located in St. Petersburg, Florida. Remember, when applying for that counseling job, write it so that that individual that's reading it can feel very personally touched by your cover letter."
