How to Build a Better Cover Letter so You Get More Calls

"You ever wonder if a cover letter was important? Well my name is Gloria Campbell, and I'm with Advantage Training Systems located in St. Petersburg Florida, and I'm going to give you some ideas on how to build a better cover letter and get more calls, that's really what we want. Some thing to remember about your cover letter, of course, is you want some basic information like your name, your address, also include todays date and the employees information, but lets move to what really gets that phone ringing, and it really evolves around three points. Your first paragraph, and in your first paragraph, what you're addressing is, why are you writing the cover letter, what position is it that you're interested in, the second paragraph wants to address, why are you qualified, and here you really want to make sure that you give that reader a real reason to call you, because you're going to talk about all of your accomplishments and things that you've done that you want them to know. And the final thing is, you want to close, which means you kind of want to review what you said before, summarize, and then you're also going to do a call to action, "I'm looking forward to hearing from you very shortly".
