"Let's look at selecting a wine to go along with meat dishes. There are some classic combinations. Cabernet Sauvignon along with beef. A straight Bordeaux to go along with lamb or Pinot Noir to go with pork, chicken, and or duck dishes. If you want to get outside the box a little bit however, you can be rebellious, use a white wine. This New Zealand Chardonnay has a wonderful mineral balance and a nice buttery texture to go along with any meat dishes that you might serve. Or the Spanish Albarino, which has a lovely acid quality to it, that cuts through the fattiness of the meat. Either way, you can make a great wine pairing for white or red wine."
