"I'm Layla Beth and I'm going to talk to you a little bit about how to start modeling. First of all you need to figure out what kind of model do you want to be. Do you want to be a glamour model, a commercial model, a print model, a runway model? There are differences in these. You need to research them and find out what you would be best suited for. Secondly you are going to need a portfolio. This doesn't have to be professional. Have a friend do some shots of you. You can also work with a professional who might offer you prints in exchange for your time. You are going to need an agent. You don't necessarily have to have one at first but it is certainly not going to hurt. Select several agents, send out your resume and head shots and await for their response. In the meantime go to as many casting calls and events as you can. Each casting call and audition you go on will increase your chances of being seen and you will become more comfortable with being in these situations. Put together and update your portfolio and go to everything your agent sends you to. You might get discouraged in all of this because there is a certain amount of rejection in this business but don't let it stop you. If this is really what you want keep going, good luck."
