"I'm Layla Beth and today we are going to talk about how to become a hair model. First of all you need to know that long haired models typically fare better at auditions than short haired models. You need to keep your hair in tip top shape. You will stand a better chance if your hair has never been permed or colored. Be prepared for lots of competition. In order to get the job you might have to be prepared to go to extremes. You may walk into a gig with long blond hair and walk out with a short brunette crew cut. You can set limitations and guidelines but you will be most successful if you know that you will probably be experimented on and that's o'kay with you. In order to keep your hair in the best shape possible you should shampoo it on the day of your casting call and deep condition it regularly, get trims and other professional deep conditioning treatments as often as you can. Be charming and positive at your interview. Be prepared to walk the runway. You will be given photographs for your portfolio in exchange for your time and often times free products. Sometimes you are not paid with actual money but you are paid in services. Most of the models will always receive a makeover. Lastly have fun."
