"Hi everyone, I'm Russ Handler, travel agent. You know every now and again you just got to downsize your ambitions and take an airline, well, that you just might not be too comfortable with. Talking about Turkmenistan Airlines. Now, if go to the website, that's your first turnoff right there, because it's not a very nice site. In fact, it doesn't even give you the option to book a flight. It's TurkmenistanAirlines.com, that's T U R K M N - rather T U R K M E N I S T A N Airlines.com. You'll notice that you'll be able to make reservations from Frankfurt, from Istanbul, from Bangkok, London and a couple of other places, but not yet from the United States. A little back of background since 2001, Turkmenistan Airlines has been upgrading their Soviet era planes and they're doing a little bit better job of that, their pilots are Western trained, they have eighteen destinations, but the tough part about it is you can't just go online and really find out a whole lot about them or even book.
