"Hello, my name is Chris Ardolina and I'm a golf instructor, here, at the Jim McClean Golf School located at the Dural Resort and Spa in Miami, Florida. In this clip, today, we're going to teach you how to change your golf grips, okay, but first let's talk about how to identify when you need to change them, okay. Your grips are going to; you'll have all different types of grips, whether you have rubber, synthetic, you have cord, you've got a little piece of string in there that look like; that help you grip on the club a little better. There's all different types of grips, needless to say. This one's more of a synthetic rubber grip, okay. But how do I identify when they need to be change? You'll notice that over time, some, it depends on the player and how often you get to play or practice. You need to really identify how slick the grip is. If you can grip it and your hands not going to move and go like that. I don't think you have to worry. Your hands are going to be fine, but if you grip and the hands are sliding, no problem, than it might be time to re-change your clubs. A good thing to look at; you want to look at for the texture, okay, the feel, how slippery it is, the look, if it's very shiny, you can tell that you need to change it, okay. And by changing, what I mean by, you can take it to your local club professional, or you can take it to here. At Jim McClean Golf Club where we have a club fitting van. They can change your grips for you. I wouldn't recommend changing your golf grips on your own because it could be dangerous. You have to use razor blades, hook blade knives, and you have to use a lot of lighter fluid or just different solvents, okay. So, I recommend you take it to your local club fitter, your golf shop or definitely to your club fitting van like we have here at the McClean School. So, today, again remember, we taught you how to identify when your club or your grips are going bad and how to change them."
