"Hello my name is Chris Ardolina and I'm a golf instructor here at the Jim Mclean golf school located at the Doral resort and spa in Miami, Florida. In this clip today we are going to teach you how to replace a divot on the golf course ok. We are located in Florida, in Miami as you know. And in Florida we place our divots a little bit differently then we do around the country ok. So what we are going to do is here I'm going to make a divot and I'm going to show you how to fix it ok. So lets make a divot. Ok. Now in Florida what we are going to do here, is we are going to take this bucket of sand here that is usually found on most golf carts when you are playing around on the golf course ok. And most of them are filled with either a white sand or a green sand. Some of them do have some kind of fertilizer and seed in there, but others are just plain sand ok. And what you are going to do is just you are going to take this, this little bucket here and you are going to fill this divot. Now you don't want to over fill it, you can just fill it nice and lightly till it's filled to the top. And then you just want to nice and easy step on it like this, so it's nice and level. What this is going to do is going to allow the grass to grow evenly. If you don't fill the divot high enough the grass is actually going to grow down and around and you are going to have a little bit of a hole or a concave there. So remember make sure your divots are filled evenly and nice and level and the grass will grow back perfect. Today we taught you how to fill in a divot on the golf course."
