An organizational meeting is normally used if you have a specific task that you have to accomplish in a period of time. You want to identify who are the key players, what piece and what role will they play, and then how to make sure that they are on board? The best way to do that is to have a meeting. Make sure that you have an agenda, make sure that you clearly understand what each person's or department's role is going to be in the project, and make sure you establish time lines. One of the biggest things that happens is that, we tell people what to do but we don't give them an idea of when we expect that to be accomplished, and then when they don't meet that deadline, it throws everything off.
