"So you just got called into your boss's office and you're a little concerned about what the conversation is going to be. My name is Wade Childress from the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast and I'm here to tell you how to deal with getting fired, let go or terminated. The first thing to remember is it's not the end of the world. Everybody gets fired from a job usually sometime in their life. The second thing is most people have a variety of jobs throughout their life so this might be a great opportunity for you to go and find something new - the next stage in your career. Another thing to think about is that once you leave one job it's now your full time job to find a job. So you can think about that as well. But when you're in the interview, when you're talking to your boss, try to take a deep breath, relax, and if it is a decision that they've made and they're not going to back off from it, then just accept it. There's no need to yell. Don't get angry. It's not going to do you any good. It's going to burn some bridges. Probably what you want to be careful to do is to not burn the bridges. You want to take some time and ask them if they have any input. Ask them how you can get better in the future. Ask them why they made the decision, and then thank them for the information. Go about your way. Say goodbye to some of your coworkers. Remember, you might need some of these people as references for your next job. So remember, don't burn any bridges, take it easy, get out of there, take a deep breath and be on to the next thing. My name is Wade Childress from the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast and I've just told you how to deal with being fired, let go or terminated. I hope you had a good time. Good luck with it."
