How to Call Spain From the United States

Hi everyone, my name is Russ Handler and did you know that while dialing an international number out of the United States you actually have to dial four separate numbers? That's right. Let's say that you want to dial Spain. It's pretty simple. Your numbers are 011 to get you out of the country, 34 is Spain's country code, then there's a city code and then a number so, dialing Spain, pretty simple. 011, gets you out of the country. Their geographical code for country is 34. Then, of course, a city code, let's pretend it's 521, and then a number, let's say 555-6321. It's that simple. Now Spain's infrastructure is pretty good. They operate various submarine cables plus two satellites, so their infrastructure for telecommunications is fairly adequate according to some of the research that I've done. It has improved over the years and of course, as with other major countries, there's a big use of cell phones and the wireless network is growing considerably.
