"Hell, everyone. I'm Russ Handler and I just love to travel. But you know what's really annoying? Being in a foreign city and not knowing where to find a phone. But the best part about that is that these days, we all have cell phones. And the beautiful thing about that is that you could use that pretty much internationally, depending on where you're going to. So, here's how you make an international phone call with your cell phone. A couple of things you need to check in advance with. I'm going to suggest you check with your phone manufacturer to make sure that your phone is compatible with the frequency in the country that you are visiting. We generally have 800 and 900 megahertz cell phone service. In Europe, they have some different ones. So, your phone may be tri-band or quad-band, quad-band being better and that'll help you make that call. Make sure your phone is unlocked. Again, that's a whole other issue, but make sure that your manufacturer can suggest how you do that. Make sure you have compatibility with an international Sim card. And make sure you have a wall and power adapter, because what good is your phone if you can't use it? Basically, other than that, calling is simple. That's how you do it. I'm Russ Handler."
