"Hello everyone. I'm Russ Handler and did you know that the whole idea of securing luggage during an air flight is a lot different these days than it was just ten years ago. So let's talk about the best and most effective ways for you to secure your luggage. First of all, I'm using the old school brand, but it's the same principle. If you have locks, don't lock them because they're very subject to being cut and dismantled by security personnel. The best thing you can do is secure your locking mechanisms with these, little tie rods. Bring some extra, as you will notice when you get to your destination, they'll probably be cut as security has gone through your bag and you'll need to have some for the return trip, or your trip throughout your destination. Another thing I like to do is auxiliary wraps. Now these are obviously small; I didn't bring my big ones but I do have big ones that I actually put around the suitcase. It does help keep it together, should it fall or be damaged in one way, it will help keep your luggage together. Most importantly, allow some extra room and allow some extra chance of your bag being looked at without being destroyed. I'm Russ Handler and that's how you do it."
