"Hi everyone, I'm Russ Handler and you know, I just absolutely love international travel. One thing I hate though, is adjusting to new time zones. Let me give you a couple of tips on how to adjust to new time zones. First of all, did you know that staying hydrated and keeping, retaining nutrients while in your flight, will help you in your quest to adjust to that new time zone? It certainly will. Stay hydrated for a few days before and after your flight. It will certainly help out. Okay. When you get on your flight, why don't you set your watch to the time zone that you'll be going to. That will give you an opportunity to mentally and physically prepare for that time zone. Again, I cannot emphasize enough that staying hydrated will help maintain the nutrients and the vitamins that your body needs to cope with the new time. While on the plane, you should try to exercise your hands and your feet as much as possible so that you don't get what is often known as the bloating effect. Also try to sleep whenever possible on the plane, if you need a lot of sleep. If not, go ahead and do what I like to do, I like to stay up and force my body into thinking that the night time that is about to approach is the real night time. It might be very tiring, but it's effective for me. Definitely avoid caffeine and alcohol and try then, once you get to your destination, to be as acclimated with their time of going to bed as possible. I'm Russ Handler and that's how you do it."
