"Fame, fortune, stardom; how to become a soap opera star. I'm Joe Pauly. I've got about twenty years in the TV business, and I'm here to try and help you out. What's the best advice I can tell you right now. Well, go to school, take acting lessons, network, meet lots of people who are in the business. Get some head shots; some good head shots that show what you really look like. Then, My best advice then is find a reputable agent. If you really want to get into soap operas you have to move to New York or LA. That's where they cast em', that's where they are. Once you've got a reputable agent then you audition, audition, audition, audition. And if you watch soap operas, you kind of get an idea that most of the people on there are fairly attractive. If you're fifty years old, don't have any hair, you're kind of obese; I'm thinkin' it's probably not going to happen for ya', okay? You may want to write that one off. But if you really want to do this; you want to become a star on a soap opera, you know, do what you can to make your face look good, maybe do some work on the teeth, work out a lot, look your best, and audition, audition, audition. Hopefully, you'll get lucky and somebody'll pick you and say hey, I'm going to make you a star. That's my best advice. My name's Joe Pauly. Good luck."
