"This is Rachael with Nutrolution in Miami Beach, Florida. In this clip we're talking about how you get more zinc into your diet. You might ask "well why, why would I need more zinc in my diet"? Actually zinc is a mineral and zinc is involved in more chemical and enzymatic equations or reactions in the body than any other mineral or vitamin. So zinc is really, really important. And some of the prime functions that we need it for are for our immune system. If we don't have enough zinc our immune system will start to falter. Other things that zinc deficiency, zinc deficiency shows up as, tongue twister, is skin problems. Also brain problems, because it's involved in your neurotransmitter production. Metabolism, so weight gain. And many, many, many more functions. So, some of the ways that you want to get more zinc are by eating more vegetables which are rich in zinc. Anything that grows in the ground. As well as nuts, such as your almonds here. One nut that's really rich in zinc is your pecans. And the other thing that you can do is take a zinc supplement which I do recommend, especially if you have deficiency symptoms. And this is Rachael with Nutrolution in Miami Beach, Florida."
