"If you've been considering a career change, using a headhunter might be for you. My name is Kelly and I'm here to talk to you today about hiring a headhunter. When working with a headhunter there's a few things that I would recommend. Consider all resources that are free and available to you before paying for someone. Some job searches are free. The clients or the companies where you'll end up working make investment in the headhunting company and an investment in you. Consider those resources first before you pay someone to look for a position for you. Again, when there are no guarantees that you'll be placed, you don't want to make an investment when you're looking for another job. Some additional things to consider would be the types of clients that your headhunter works with. You want to make sure that when you select a headhunter, you select someone that understands the type of position you're looking for. Someone that takes the time to get to know you as a person and identifies what you're looking for. Someone that understands your salary requirements, the type of job, the level of experience; whether your position is managerial, functional or senior level. All of these things are things to consider. Also get references on your headhunter. Ask to talk to some people they placed in the past. Find out how those people are in their current positions and if they're still there. Have they been promoted again? Those are great things to consider when looking for a headhunter. Also, make sure that they give you feedback. You should want feedback before and after an interview. They should coach you before, give you some helpful advice so you can successfully complete your interview and then you would also want some feedback afterwards. How did you do? What should you work on and what are your strengths and weaknesses? A headhunter that has good relationships with their clients would be able to share that type of information. My name is Kelly and I hope the information that I've offered you today has been helpful for you selecting a headhunter. Thanks."
