"So now I'm going to talk about how to determine what frame size is right for you. The best thing to do is go to a shop and get professionally sized. Usually they go by your inseam and the reach on your arms. But one thing you can look for is the clearance on the top tube and just how you feel on the bike. What I tell people when they come into my shop is we can size you up to right where you should be on a bicycle but you might not always be comfortable with that. When I used to race I always use to ride a bike that was a size smaller just because it's a little bit easier for me to throw the bike around off road and hit jumps with it. But when I was training and I was riding on the road, I would always get a bike that was a little bit bigger so I didn't have to raise the seat up and have more of my weight leaning forward. So it's basically try a bunch of different stuff out and get what is comfortable for you."
